The Balance

This ideology of Good versus Evil, Dark versus Light. Does it really need to be there? If I decide to paint myself White and act with cruelty and malice, would it make any difference if I was painted white or yellow or green? No, it would not. And the opposite is also true. Therefore, for me, it is beyond the dark and the light and goes deeper. The Eastern principle of Yin and Yang fits the Star Wars characters so much better than light and dark. One cannot exist without the other, a person cannot be whole without both influences present and a star cannot shine without the darkness. Taken from this post of mine on Instagram. Image credit.

  1. […] In Anakin Skywalker’s story we are able to see how the inner conflict of one character can influence so many others; Padme, Obi-wan, and even the Jedi order itself. I have always revered the way Anakin suffered for so long without giving in until the conflict was finally too much to bear. Think about it. Whilst we may not face the same kind of struggles as Anakin, we are constantly exposed to situations in life where our choices influence not only our own paths but the paths of others. We are both Anakin and Vader every single day. From this post on Instagram. Image Credit. […]
