So much Star Wars goodness!

This week is shaping up to be a nice week for me, especially in the Star Wars arena. Firstly, my star wars work buddy and I ordered our copies of the Junior Novelisation of The Last Jedi and the expanded edition of The Last Jedi both of which should arrive in the next week or so. It’s way behind everyone else in the Northern hemisphere (almost always) but I am so excited to read them both. Secondly, I just pre-ordered the steel book version of The Last Jedi which is the first steel book Blu-Ray I’ve ever ordered. I am definitely coming late to the party but better late than never, right? And lastly, the SWTOR updates that are coming will be amazing and even though they’ve (EA/Bioware) pushed things back by a week for the update, I am definitely excited for what’s to come.

Speaking of what’s to come, I think one of the reasons why I haven’t been blogging much about SWTOR lately is because I’ve been reading a lot of feedback on the forums and in other communities and it’s been quite disheartening and annoying and it all kind of put me on the back foot a little. I don’t know why some members of the SWTOR community think it’s important to attack the game, its creators and the community itself because they don’t agree with something or they are no longer having fun. I just want to scream sometimes! It’s easy to log into a game and rattle off a whole lot of negativity about a game you no longer enjoy just because you feel like it. It’s a much harder thing to take those feelings and do the right thing by not logging into the game, or the forums and spreading your negativity. IF you don’t like the game, it’s quite simple – DON’T PLAY it. Seriously, just cancel your subscription and leave! At least that way you’re doing everyone and yourself a huge favour.

Just to be clear, I am not talking about those players who genuinely want to see the game improve and prosper by providing interesting, useful, constructive criticism and feedback that the game devs can use to make the game more enjoyable for everyone. Those people are a credit to the community, they just seem to be few and far between lately.
