Boba Fett’s Appearance in The Mandalorian Season 2

THE MANDALORIAN SEASON ONE SPOILERS AHEAD!

I thought it would be fun to create a motion art celebrating the news about Temuera Morrison and Boba Fett’s appearance in season two of The Mandalorian.

I can already imagine the possible storyline between these two characters; what is the possibility that Boba Fett could be hired to hunt down The Mandalorian to acquire The Child?

If you recall in the first season’s final episodes, The Mandalorian and The Child were very much still on the run. The Dark Saber was firmly in the hands of Moff Gideon, and he was not a happy chappy. So there’s a small chance that this could be how Boba Fett’s character is written into the new season.

Also, thinking beyond The Mandalorian, we know that Taika Waititi is set to direct an unknown Star Wars movie. I can only imagine how great it would be if both Temuera Morrison as Boba Fett was in Taika’s new movie!

    1. Well, that’s the thing – “death” in the Star Wars universe is never really “death” as we know it. If you recall, Boba Fett fell into the Sarlacc pit in Return of the Jedi. But we never saw him “die”. It has long been a star wars fan debate that Boba made his way out of the pit. Assuming The Hollywood Reporter was accurate, I guess we’ll see how they make Boba “return”. In terms of the timeline – The Mandalorian happens about five years after the events of Return of the Jedi (according to Jon Favreau, the show’s creator) so it’s entirely possible that Boba could have survived 🙂 Thanks for commenting and for stopping by!

  2. So excited to see Boba Fett! He is my favorite character. Well… either him or Luke. Also, this means that in the Disney version of Star Wars canon, Boba Fett did not die in ROTJ! I mean, that was established in the “old version” of the lore, but it is good to see that it is now official in the Disney lore as well. 😀

    1. I know! Me too, so excited. And bringing back Boba Fett is a pure stroke of genius. Boba Fett is a very much loved character in the Star Wars universe, I am really looking forward to seeing him again because I have so many questions lol and I am so curious about how they’ll bring him back as well 🙂
