Adobe Photoshop – Kylo Ren Art

This started out as a tutorial review but the tutorial became a little annoying with the instructions not making much sense (steps missing etc) and I kind of gave up on it half-way through.

That said, I used part of the tutorial because I liked the initial image result and then added the rest to create the final image which I made here:

Made by Darkside Creative

I have used this image once before when I was playing around with cartoon effects in Photoshop. The initial image for the art above was using threshold filters, sketch and photocopy filters and then a lot of blend modes and gradient maps for colour.

If I could create a step-by-step tutorial on how to make this I would but I honestly just don’t remember what I did to get to this result. I liked it a whole lot more than what the tutorial created so I guess that’s all that matters 😁

Anyway, it has been a long time since I actually made some Star Wars art so I figured it was due – I hope you like it. Let me know if you have any questions in the comments!

Stay safe out there people, keep creating and I’ll catch you all tomorrow!
