I woke up to very sad news this morning of actor David Prowse who played Darth Vader in the OT (not the voice, just the 6’6” imposing frame) passing away.
I just wanted to post something in his memory and to pass on my condolences to his family, friends and millions of fans around the world on this sad Monday.
You will be missed and May the Force Be With You.
Now he can finally reunite with Peter and Carrie in Star Wars Heaven 🙂

Stay safe my friends and I’ll catch you tomorrow or in the comments!
Another childhood hero passes

Today I hold my bleeding saber aloft and I am a Sith.

May the force be with Dave always! RIP to the man who helped light up my childhood – not only with his presence in the Vader costume but as the Green Cross Code man.

I had never heard of that seeing as I live in New Zealand but it seems that even though Darth Vader was his most memorable and well-known role, the Green Cross Code man seems to be the most cherished 🙂

I think for many Brits in the late 70s and early 80s it will always be memorable. It was a huge public information campaign on TV, in print, plus public events. Good that Dave managed to play a memorable hero and a villain 🙂
