New Year’s Resolutions 2021

I am not a firm believer in New Year’s resolutions partially because I don’t believe you need an actual “new year” to improve something, do something new or even improve your life and/or situation.

I am a firm believer in setting realistic goals and doing your best to achieve them. It doesn’t matter if you don’t. What matters is that you took the next step to be or do something better. I think people get way too tied up in the New Year thing and immediately start setting themselves goals they may never achieve.

And the next thing you know, 2022 has arrived.

But if you do have New Year’s resolutions, what are you hoping to achieve this year? Have you started on your planning to achieve your goal or goals? What do you hope to do better or even differently than last year?

I am keen to know what everyone is up to in this new year… and I hope you are all well and safe and that your family and friends are safe.

  2. My goal is to provide free voiceovers on select projects this year, because last year I watched a shocking number of my favorite clients go out of business. Heartbreaking stuff… but if I can help some indies or small biz bounce back in 2021, then I’m a happy VO guy.

It’s nice to know that there are people like you who are willing to help others improve and do better – I think we all need more of that in the world 🙂 I wish you well in 2021 🙂

  3. I told myself I’d start utilizing Twitter more to grow the blog. I’m not a big Twitter fan, but I know I could increase my reach a bit by using it. So of course I bought a book on it, and now I just have to start reading it!

    1. That’s a good one 🙂 I use Twitter and I’ve had very small success with it in terms of growing any of my blogs. I would say Twitter is good for interacting with certain communities though. I have definitely seen growth in that area for sure. Pinterest is probably my most successful social media endeavour and that has helped my Star Wars blog grow without a doubt 🙂

Definitely look into it 🙂 There is a feature I use a lot where you can create a pin and link it directly back to your blog (you can search by URL and it will come up with a selection of images to choose from for your pin). It was broken for ages but it looks like they fixed it so I have been slowly adding more of my content that way once more 🙂 I will be writing a post on my recent social media anecdotes and failures lol and I have some doozies 🤣

      11. I only know how to sit in front of a mike and talk about what I know lol I haven’t done any of that other fancy stuff like adding music or any of that. I’ll do some reading and find out more 🙂
