This image was doing the rounds on Twitter so I felt the need to blog it here because it’s so awesome! Liam Neeson still has his lightsaber from his role as Qui-Gon Jinn in the prequel trilogy:
You may remember I blogged about Liam Neeson recently talking about the possibility of reprising his role as Qui-Gon Jinn in the new Obi-Wan Kenobi series on Disney+. Well, considering he still has his lightsaber, I’d say that’s a good sign that the role he played was important to him and he’ll probably be very keen to reprise his role given half the chance!
And that’s just fantastic for the fans, am I right? Also a personal note to @ForTyeth – you might have some big competition on your hands for that opportunity FT! 😁😉

Blargh! Noo, he has been too busy having trips on “Red Eye” airplanes and running around Paris, Istanbul and Los Angeles looking for his daughter….whilst I have wielded my saber against the dark side powers for the past 37 years! He’d be no match for me….well maybe….OK I’d be happy to see him back.
This does prove however that there was more than one QGJ hilt made for production as he was photographed at an auction holding another one that was up for sale.
