What is Your Favourite Star Wars Fan Theory?

On days like today, when I feel like I can’t come up with anything news-worthy to blog about, I look to my extensive “drafts” folder and hope to find a gem hiding there amongst the 70 odd drafts that I have. Do you have a “drafts” folder with discarded blog posts or blog post ideas? I rarely trash things on my blog, so if I do, it means it really is a lost cause. 😂

I’ve been thinking about this topic for a while and put it away to revisit it another day. Well, that day has now arrived, so I am asking my readers for their ULTIMATE star wars fan theory ideas so I can read them and smile or cry as the case may be.

As I write this, I don’t actually have a fan theory that I like. I am also looking for my readers to give me some food for thought on this topic. While I’m thinking about fan theories, I do have a couple I absolutely DISLIKE, but that’s for another post. 😉

You could even talk about your own fan theories, and we could start there – I promise not to giggle or cry when I read them 😂 but seriously, I am looking forward to hearing your theories, friends.

I actually did think about this some time ago, but for some reason, I got distracted and, well, lost that train of thought somewhere in the netherworld. But this is definitely one I am HOPING they include in the Kenobi series. Can you imagine it? WHAT IF THEY had Maul and Vader face each other? Okay, that is my favourite fan theory. 😁

  1. I’ve always loved the theory that Corkie is Obi-Wan’s and Satine’s secret son, lol. I know it’s not true, but I like the idea. I think Obi-Wan’s sense of honor would have prevented that, and I admire it, but still. The Kenobi line should go on, lol.

    1. Have you heard of the Obikin theory? I am sure you have lol when I first saw it on Tumblr I thought people were mental. But then I thought about it more and after reading some of the expanded universe books, I can totally see how fans would think there was more between Obi-Wan and Anakin. It seems kind of weird to even write that, but I definitely see it.

      1. You know, I hadn’t until a few days ago when I was scrolling through Pinterest and saw some, shall we say, suggestive, fan art of Anakin and Obi-Wan. And I thought, um, NO. It’s sort of the same thing I think when I see fan art with Kylo and Hux getting real close, if you know what I mean, lol. I don’t have anything against gay relationships, but I just don’t see any basis in these pairings at all. I can MAYBE see a Poe/Finn thing, but not Anakin and Obi, and certainly not Kylo and Hux. But everyone has their little fantasies, lol.

      2. Yup Pinterest and Tumblr are rife with them. You’re in the same spot as me – I can understand why some fans think about these pairings but I don’t support them in the fandom at all. I think I posted something about Kylux once on my blog but that was because I loved the aesthetic of the GIF that someone made, not because I’m trying to flaunt their relationship in the fandom lol. I don’t have a problem with gay relationships either, I have family members who are gay so it’s not a thing. Just as far as the fandom is concerned, I just don’t support it.

      3. No, as far as specific characters are concerned, there has to be something there in the first place to suggest such a relationship, and I think some fans are stretching, lol. I can perhaps see the fine line between hate and desire in Hylux (but they really have nothing but contempt for each other), but Anakin and Obi? No, no, and no, lol.

      4. Agreed – fans stretch for real. I really don’t like that either like taking things out of perspective to bend the characters to their will and then hate on everyone who doesn’t agree. It’s stupid. I avoid all of that stuff in fandoms. I suppose I get the opposites attract thing of Kylo and Hux and that they hate each other might be a turn on for some lol

      6. Yeah, it seems legitimate even though Jedi weren’t supposed to love, Anakin was right when he said the Jedi encourage love. And then Yoda comes along and tells him to let go of all he fears to lose… being a Jedi seemed like an impossible feat lol

      9. I’ve been feeling fine, I just need to have some surgery on March ninth. They’re taking out some breast tissue that might be problematic and lead to cancer. So if you don’t see any posts from me that week, that’s why! I’ll be a bit sore for awhile, but I’ll be okay. Thanks for asking. Hope your migraines are under control, those are awful.

      10. Oh damn that still sounds a little daunting. When I had my eye surgery (I know it’s not the same thing but I was going blind at the time) I was so scared. Thankfully, I had my partner with me and he made it so much better. I get what you’re feeling but I am sure you will feel so much better once its done 😀

      12. Yeah, when I had my eye done, honestly it looked like someone had smashed my right eye in with a poker, it looked HORRIBLE. I wasn’t allowed to touch it for weeks or wash it for a month. But now I am reading without glasses so the pain was bloody worth it and you’ll feel the same, I am sure 🙂

    2. I also get what you mean about Obi-Wan and Satine having a kid too. Lol and now that I’ve thought about it more, I have come up with a whole lot of theories I don’t like when earlier, I had none LOL. Now that I think of Tumblr, I shudder at some of the pairings those fans have for Star Wars characters but some of them I can totally understand (not that I’d suport them, but I get it).
