Adobe Photoshop – Update and Qui-Gon Jinn Motion Art

So one of my favourite things is covers and posters. I am absolutely obsessed with book covers, magazine covers and poster art. I don’t know why this is, but I think it kind of started when I was first learning about Adobe Photoshop and all I’ve ever wanted to do since is make covers (next to Star Wars stuff that is!).

So this year I decided to dedicate as much time as I can to learning how to make book covers and posters. I am still struggling through this tutorial and I can’t seem to get the image sizes correct. I don’t actually know why it’s screwing up so I guess I need to decide if I want to start something easier and ask for help in the forums or just spend as much time on it as I can until I figure it out.

I need to think about it I guess I wanted to see what you guys would do or if you use Adobe to make things, would you ask for help or start a different, easier project?

Anyway, here’s something I did just earlier today:

ART BY VIC BAZAINE

I added a little motion art to this image, and I think it came out really pretty. What do you think?

Let me know what you’re all up to my readers! I hope you are all keeping safe out there and looking after your loved ones šŸ˜‡šŸ˜Š

I will catch you in the comments or in tomorrow’s post šŸ˜Š

If you like my Star Wars posts, you can check out more of them right here.

And while you’re there, why not consider following me on Twitter, Instagram and right here, on WordPress.

Thanks for your support!

    1. I think it has something to do with the ratio aspect because during the tutorial you have to change two images to percentages and those are the images that aren’t scaling up to their original size. I also think that there is a step missing because in the tutorial the designer refers to using smart objects but she doesn’t refer to creating any of the images as smart objects in the earlier steps. I will have a read about it but yeah, the DPI is set to 72 the whole time and never changes . Thanks Neil I guess I have to do more research šŸ™‚
