Star Wars Cinematic Universe – From Concept Art to Screen #2

Hi everyone. I hope your weekend is going well and you’re staying happy, safe and creative! Today’s post is another one in the concept art series “From Concept Art to Screen”. Here’s the concept art image from one of the best scenes in Rogue One – Darth Vader’s entrance to the hanger:

And a screenshot I took of the scene itself in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story:

I loved these shots from the movie as well but look at how accurate the concept art is compared to the production scenes in the movie:

It is just amazing how these worlds we love so much come together. When you think about the process and what it takes to bring these worlds to life, it is a huge undertaking by the passionate, creative people involved. But what a job to have, am I right?

Stay safe, keep creating, and I’ll catch you all in the comments or in tomorrow’s post!

  1. We take these movies for granted sometimes, like they just magically make themselves, but it takes ARMIES of people to create these amazing films. Everytime I watch a “making of” type thing I’m just astounded at all the work that goes into them.

    1. Yeah it’s so true. And that is why they get paid so well because a lot of what they do is crucial to a movie being the best that it can be. I do admire people in the film industry, not just the cast but the crews behind them 🙂
