Wow, there is so much cinematic universe news around on social media; I just had to post about it here, of course! This time we’re taking a rest from Obi-Wan and moving towards the upcoming Andor series, which has been in production, I think, for some time (IMDb hasn’t been updated since December 2020, so production may be completed now).

I would say this news is HUGE, but it’s not because it hasn’t been verified by anyone at Lucas Film or Disney for that matter, so take it with a HUGE grain of salt.

Well, according to The Direct, sources claim that Ben Mendelsohn will be returning as Director Orson Krennic in the new upcoming Andor series. And that’s not all; it is also rumoured that Saw Gerrera might also be making an appearance.

If I had to choose, I’d be happy to see Orson Krennic make an appearance because he was intimidating and menacing in all the right ways to make enough of an impact in Rogue One. I’d love to see that element return to keep Cassian on his feet (and watching his back!) But I don’t feel the same way about Saw, even though he is an important character in that part of the timeline.
