Hi all! Welcome back to another post from yours truly about that universe we LOVE with all our hearts – a galaxy far, far away! So today I was on Twitter (a really good place to keep up to date with Star Wars content, rumours etc) and I saw a post where someone was talking about “Ren being played by Christian Slater”. I was confused – what did they mean by this? Are they talking about Kylo Ren I mean who else could it be?

Turns out, there is going to be a LEGO movie about the Kylo Ren comics and Christian Slater is going to be voicing the character of Ren. If you’ve read the comics, you should know who Ren is. Ren IS NOT Kylo Ren. Ren is this guy:

And the show is going to be a LEGO show featuring Darth Vader’s castle on Mustafar and a whole lot of other stuff as well. Here’s the trailer:

So that’s that 😂 and not sure if you can guess but LEGO Star Wars isn’t my thing. I have never really been a fan and I’d only watch this if I had nothing else to watch (which is impossible because I always have something to watch!)

The Episode X, XI and XII rumours

I’ve mentioned these two YouTube channels before – Mike Zeroh and Star Wars Theory and I’ve mostly steered clear because I think their rumour videos are not all that entertaining and I don’t like listening to click bait content. But today I visited both channels to catch up on the latest rumours about George Lucas coming back to produce/create Episodes X, XI and XII with Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni.

THIS INFORMATION IS NOTHING BUT RUMOUR AT THIS STAGE!

I just wanted to be sure anyone reading this understands that I do not endorse fake news or click bait content but there was something different about this rumour. It seemed a little odd that both channels would be reporting on this at the same time. I’ve never actually seen that before. I know that Mike Zeroh has a poor reputation in the Star Wars fandom for being sensationalist and fake with his news. Star Wars Theory seems to be better in that regard but I fail to see how that type of content is bringing value to the fandom.

Today they both had interesting things to say about the “new” Skywalker trilogy rumour. Now I have to say that I’ve heard about these rumours for a long time now. The original rumour started ages ago and I just ignored it then. What Star Wars Theory and his buddy are saying is that they do NOT want the sequel trilogy to be the end of the Skywalker Saga. They are happy to see three new movies made by George, Jon and Dave completely ignoring the three movies that went before.

The sequel trilogy gave us Kylo Ren and then Ben Solo – two characters that the fandom really supports so I don’t know how three new movies overwriting the sequel trilogy will deal with Ben and Kylo Ren. All I know is that if they erase the sequels, they are erasing all the hard work that Adam Driver put into those characters and that would annoy the crap out of me to be honest.

Mike Zeroh also referred to huge news being revealed at Disney’s investor group day. Disney has officially set November 12, 2021, as Disney+ Day. Last year this was a huge day for Star Wars fans with the announcements that rocked the fandom such as the Kenobi series. So Mike Zeroh is not wrong when he says that there is bound to be a few things revealed that the fandom doesn’t expect or know about.

At the end of the day it is what it is. I prefer to take the information I get from anyone with a grain of salt. There are many sources online that call themselves “legit” sources for Star Wars information but I haven’t found one yet that has been correct about every rumour no matter how “legit” they claim to be.
