The George Lucas Museum of Narrative Art

Now I dunno about you, but I’ve never heard of this place until today, and I happened to stumble upon it by accident on social media. Apparently, George Lucas is constructing a futuristic building that will act as a museum for the visual arts. The building will also house two state-of-the-art cinemas, retail space and restaurants:

With COVID still very much a threat to most of the world, I can only dream of going there one day (like most people who value their lives and other people’s, lol). I mean, I am fully vaccinated, but I still don’t like the idea of big open spaces with crowds. I wasn’t huge on crowded spaces before COVID came, and now I am extra paranoid, so whether or not I’ll get to see this is entirely anyone’s guess.

But it’ll be there (like Galaxy’s Edge and the Star Wars hotel), and as long as they are still around, I might get a chance to go fingers crossed 😁😆🤞

What do you think of this place? Does it look like the type of thing you’d like to see? For me, anything with George Lucas’ involvement is important enough to see and experience, even if it doesn’t connect to anything relating to Star Wars.

Let me know your thoughts, my friends! And until the next post, stay safe out there, be kind, and I’ll see you in the next post or in the comments! 😁😆

If you like my Star Wars posts, you can check out more of them right here.

  1. Hi Julie, I did hear something about a museum that Lucas was either planning or had started building about two years ago, I think it was mentioned to be possibly in Seattle Washington, San Francisco or Chicago. George has a great interest in the history of storytelling and wanted a shrine to the art (including all genres and mediums).
I’m not sure if I will be able to ever visit any of these places either I’m afraid…stuck in the Outer Rim of the UK as I am.
(p.s. I did however see an Adam Savage’s Tested video on YouTube this week showing Poe Dameron’s X-Wing put on display in the Smithsonian Museum – the T-70 looks kinda cool in real life)

      1. Hi again, yes it was a few years back before any Covid stuff happened but from what I recall it was just George being at the planning stage and weighing up options as to where he wanted his museum sited.
Regards the Poe Dameron X-Wing another Savage Tested video has been released discussing some of the procedures to conserve the prop and keep it in good condition (as it is on permanent loan but could be recalled if/when Palpatine is resurrected again 😁).
