Star Wars Visions on Disney Plus NO SPOILERS!

Star Wars Visions will be starting on Disney Plus today, and I’m not quite sure that I’m 100 per cent behind it as a Star Wars fan. I hate it when I feel like this because I feel like I am betraying star wars šŸ˜… but to better explain what I mean, here are some GIFs I made of the stuff I am really hyped about and the stuff I am not so enthusiastic for.

First – this looks so badass! It reminds me so much of Samurai Champloo because the animation style is so similar to me:

And then there’s this:

I separated some of the better clips from the official Star Wars Visions video that you can see in its entirety here.

I have NOT yet seen Star Wars Visions hence the “no spoilers” tag on my post. Everything in this post can be seen in the official trailer released some time ago. But I am EXCITED about it, and when I finally see it, I will be doing a full review of the show and the things that I liked and/or didn’t like and why.

If you’ve seen the show already, please no spoiler comments until after I’ve written my review post, probably tomorrow! Thanks for understanding šŸ˜†šŸ˜…

Stay safe, my friends, and I’ll catch you in the next post!

  1. I think for me, Visions is going to be hit or miss. I’m sure I’ll like some of it, but not so much others. It all depends on the stories they tell. Either they capture me, or they don’t. I’m looking forward to it though, mostly out of curiosity. Looking forward to your thoughts.

    1. Yeah I am the same. Some of those stories will definitely be up my alley so-to-speak lol but others not so much. I have a slight disdain for “furry” anything particularly anime and anything that looks like a five year old should probably be watching it – I just can’t relate to the Japanese fondness for “cuteness in really small animated pets crossed with people”. Also anything that looks way too child-like usually gets a strikethrough from me – it’s just this strange area of animation in Japan that always makes me cringe for other reasons I am not prepared to discuss openly. I just find it disturbing.

  2. Hi Julie, I am hoping the online anime website I watched “The Bad Batch” on will also host “Visions” as I am quite interested to see this show. I have mixed Star Wars and Japanese sword culture and done a few Katana sabers in the past, even before some of the “big” custom lightsaber companies released their take on the oriental sword (In fact the forum admins of one company kinda hinted I had copied their design – despite the fact I posted mine on my site 3 days before their product was revealed on their store pages! I guess I must have used my Force Vision to spy on them?). Anyhoo, I’m looking forward to seeing the umbrella saber in action and if you haven’t seen it you can find one of my “Dragon Katana” hilts here:

p.s. Great GIF edits as usual!

      1. Hi there , that website I use usually got episodes of Bad Batch around 48hrs after they premiered on D+ so hopefully Visions will be the same. I just have to avoid the spoilers in the meantime.
And again if you are interested (I think you will be as this is graphic design related) my friend TheVintageToyAdvertiser owns some neat Japanese cinema flyers known as Chirashi and he posted a gallery of them. You can find them here:

        Well worth checking out,
