This weekend I made a significant decision regarding my website, which ties into the “big project clean-up” I started some time ago. I am still cleaning up and linking content to wherever I’ve shared it on the internet, so it’s a hugely ambitious project. Thankfully, we are in lockdown, meaning more time to be useful π
So the decision was in two parts; firstly, to upgrade this site to a business plan. I’ve wanted to do that for some time to truly utilise SEO for the content. I’ve been mucking around with SEO for some time, but I’ve had mixed feelings about it. I hope that choosing to use SEO tools for this site will improve the indexing and hopefully reach more people. Everything is an experiment when it comes to SEO blogging and social media. Some things work and others not so much, so only time will tell! So here’s to The Big Clean-up project and me eventually completing it!
The second thing I decided was to go back to blogging more regularly than I have. I used to blog daily, and I’ve seen a slight drop in activity on the site since. So while I won’t promise daily posts at this stage, I’m definitely going to try and blog more often and return to something more regular and less erratic. Thank you to all those readers who didn’t unfollow me and support me no matter what! You are all the best! πβΊοΈπ
I hope you are all doing well, keeping safe, staying productive and watching lots of movies and star wars content (of course!)
I’ll see you soon or in the comments! Thanks for reading, friends.
Chasing statistics can be quite soul-destroying if you expect quick results, search engines take a while. MTFBWY xx

This is very true. Which is why I’ve been learning about SEO for a while – there is just that much to learn. It helps if you follow people like Neil Patel who knows a lot about it and he’s made a very successful living from helping people with their SEO. I use his information now and then. Using Yoast helps a whole lot π On the business plan, you get the Yoast SEO tools as a plugin π
