Star Wars Cinematic Universe – Hayden Christensen Slated to Return as Anakin Skywalker in Ahsoka TV Series!!

This is big news for any Star Wars fans that are also fans of Hayden Christensen. It has been announced (by many legitimate websites including EW dot com) that Hayden Christensen will not only be reprising his role of Darth Vader in the Obi-Wan Kenobi series, but he will be returning as Anakin Skywalker in the Ahsoka series as well!

While this does not really surprise me, it is amazing news! The fandom hasn’t always been so supportive of Hayden Christensen so it’s awesome to finally see things coming full-circle for him in the Star Wars universe.

Hayden Christensen returning to 'Star Wars' franchise for 'Ahsoka' series

Here is a snippet from the article for you to read:

Hayden Christensen is heading back to a galaxy far, far away β€” but a little earlier than expected.

The actor is set to reprise his Star Wars role as Anakin Skywalker in the upcoming Disney+ series Ahsoka, which will follow Anakin’s former apprentice Ahsoka Tano, played by Rosario Dawson. Christensen previously played Anakin in 2002’s Attack of the Clones and 2005’s Revenge of the Sith, the latter two entries of the Star Wars prequel trilogy.

The Hollywood Reporter first reported the news Friday, and Dawson appeared to confirm it on Saturday in a now-deleted Instagram post, writing, “Skyguy, …They know!!! See you soon, Snips,” a reference to Anakin and Ahsoka’s nicknames for each other in the animated Clone Wars series.

  1. Hi there, hopefully Hayden is 100% confirmed and will be treat a bit better than he has been in the past. I still think he wasn’t dealt a great hand in regards to the material he was given to work with and the directions/instructions on how to play the part. I didn’t think he did badly, he was still relatively new and carrying Star Wars was big on his shoulders. But like the fans have sort of eased up their criticism of Ahmed Best and started to “like” Jar-Jar…hopefully the fans will appreciate Hayden more the second time around.
But he did warn us “Don’t underestimate my powers!” πŸ˜€

    1. Yeah I agree I mean many people have criticised the writing of that entire trilogy as being really bad lol so I think he did a great job considering what he had to work with πŸ™‚ I’m just looking forward to what they’re going to do with him now he’s back and working with people like Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau! They have been extremely successful with their shows and a lot of that has to do with fantastic writing so I am really HYPED for this πŸ™‚ Also, apparently Rosario Dawson put a message up on her Insta saying that “skyguy” and “snips” were back together again and then promptly deleted it lol it’s got the fandom buzzing so I am fairly certain it’s a thing πŸ™‚

      1. Well you’ll have to let me know when you’ve seen it cos I still can’t afford D+ 😒 But I have seen Visions (no not the ones in my head), I’ll say it was “interesting”.

      2. Lol, yeah not everyone liked Star Wars Visions – it was a mixed bag for me too. I liked some of it and other episodes I just cringed to be honest. Not all star wars is GOOD star wars in that respect,

      3. Hi there, the last Anime I watched was a few episodes of Gundam War Machine (or whatever the series is called) and before that it was Dominion Tank Police from the 80s and 90s on VHS video so I may not have fully grasped all the nuances of Anime storytelling. I did enjoy them all but there were a few that stood out.

      4. I used to review manga and anime for a few places online so I guess I’ve got a pretty good idea of what works and what doesn’t without getting personal about it. But the thing with anime is that it’s the same as any other method of story-telling; if the story isn’t appealing and you can’t relate to the characters or their journey, you’ll most likely avoid it.

  2. This news is beyond exciting! I’m so psyched for the Obi-Wan show, but to possibly see him in the Ahsoka series too is an amazing gift to us fans. I’m so happy that the fandom is loving Hayden so much these days, he deserves it.
