Star Wars Fandom – Weird Star Wars Stuff

Hi all! I hope you are all doing well and keeping safe out there. Today I’d like to talk about the Star Wars fandom after I saw someone post a GIF of Rey, Ben Solo and Paul Atreides on Twitter.

If you haven’t seen this weird fandom thing yet, you probably will soon. It’s not a new thing that star wars fans have talked about but it has reared its ugly head once more thanks to the movie Dune releasing recently. So my understanding of this fandom thing is that if Ben Solo and Rey had a kid, it would be Paul Atreides. I’m not 100 per cent sure that’s correct – it could just be that if Ben and Rey had a kid it would look exactly like Paul Atreides from Dune.

For anyone that doesn’t know who that is, this is Paul Atreides:

So that’s what is happening on Twitter right now. I haven’t bothered looking anywhere else but I’m sure there are videos on IG as well (and probably Tumblr).

    1. It is so weird lol It isn’t a new thing because I remember people on twitter tweeting it back when Dune was first announced and I was like what the hell lol… and people are still saying it now 😒😑

      2. OHH yeah Timothee Chalamet is gorgeous lol so I guess I can kinda see where they’re going with the whole Ben Solo and Rey thing (two very pretty people) I mean, that’s what I think it could be lol

  2. Hi Julie….well you do know that a Ben/Rey child is in the future don’t you? Didn’t you notice the Michelangelo “Creation of David” reference between Rey and Ben (Kylo at that time) in The Last Jedi where they reach across the dyad and their fingertips almost/maybe intertwined just as Luke bursts in on the pair? Was this possibly the first on screen love making conception scene? Is that how Force Sensitives can reproduce….it would also explain how Shmii became pregnant without any physical contact…..If there is Force offspring then I called it first.

    And I have to say Ben and Rey don’t really look anything like Kyle MacLachlan 🙄

    1. GEEZ Wordpres is becoming really annoying as I only got this comment just now and even then I had to check manually to see if there were any comments or likes I hadn’t seen… so sorry about the delay as this is dated back to October 😥

      And yeah I’ve heard of the fan theories about that scene being the “force sex scene” lol. I dunno to be honest. I know what some of the fandom seems to want between Ben and Rey because I was part of that same fandom movement a while back. I didn’t really think much about a force child between them but I did hope that their relationship would exist a little longer than it did (I mean one kiss after years of endless back and forth sexual tension is just lame). But it is Star Wars and George always had specific ideas in mind about any type of sexual relationship in Star Wars (in other words there isn’t any because it’s a family show).

      1. Hi there, I am having the same problems with manually having to check for comments etc…makes me wonder if I should pay next year’s “Personal” plan till they get it sorted. Anyhoo back to Star Wars, I suppose Disney have to find a way to explain/show how famiies/the Jedi expand without showing it and I just thought the “Michaelangelo Touch” was the device they used. I guess we’ll see in the movies and shows coming in the future….which of course is clouded……Hope you’re doing well btw!

      3. I can’t complain, I’m just waiting on news about one of my lightsabers – it malfunctioned and I’ve had to return it for repair. The issue it has was a bit beyond my soldering skill level. Anyhoo hopefully I’ll hear soon. Luckily I just won a “new” saber you can see in my latest post.
