SWTOR Update – State of the Game Jan 13 2022

I have been feeling super-inspired so far this year on the writing front of things. I think Tina’s enthusiasm to blog more has rubbed off on me, so I’m going to ride this wave while it lasts lol πŸ˜‚πŸ™‚I dunno about everyone else, but my blog goes through ups and downs all year long. What happens is that I go through phases of extreme creativity, and then I feel totally unmotivated a week later. There is no point in me making promises to blog daily because I tried that, and it was the fastest way to burn out! I blogged almost every day in 2020, and I don’t think it made much of a change to my viewership or to my traffic.

But one thing I did really want to blog about is how I’ve actually started playing SWTOR again! I’m back on track to finish getting “Legendary” status in the game. So for anyone that doesn’t know, I play SWTOR regularly and have been off and on since it launched. I was one of the first people to subscribe and play the game wayyyy back when it launched in 2011. It recently had its 10th anniversary! So during my holiday period last year, I decided to do more than just trade all day and started playing my Jedi Knight Loungecat.

SWTOR UPDATE 13012022
LOUNGECAT JEDI KNIGHT

The game has changed a lot since I last played it. And there is another huge change coming in the new patch 7.0, which will be released in February of this year. I have started reading up again on gearing for my characters because since I have billions of credits to spend, I might as well start putting them to good use. I intend to upgrade the armour on all the characters I want to play. To gain legendary status in the game, you have to complete all eight character class stories. I am currently on five with three more to go (Jedi Knight, Republic Trooper and Smuggler). I am feeling excited about this game again while I wait for the launch of Elden Ring and (obviously a long way off) the KoTOR remake, and finally, Star Wars Eclipse.

It seems I will be swamped playing video games for the foreseeable futureπŸ˜‚and I am pretty happy about that.

So I am hoping to continue making general posts about the game for anyone interested. And I’ll be returning to blogging about the Cartel Market, Trading and Armor, which I did a while back. I am looking forward to doing these things this year! It will give me a reason to keep blogging regularly πŸ˜‚πŸ™‚

Thanks for reading; keep safe, and I’ll catch you in the next post!

  1. Hi Julie (or is that Loungecat?) I still don’t have a PC capable of playing SWTOR or LOTOR but I do have some experience with the game. A good friend of mine on the forums asked me to “update” his armour, however it was for his fan fiction story he was writing. He found some images of his Jedi and wanted me to photo edit them a little to fit his story based character’s colour scheme. I was adding hair and beards, changing accents on the armour and switching blade colours.
Not as much fun as playing the game though I bet.

      1. I don’t think so, he started concentrating on collecting sabers and cosplaying along with Fan Fiction writing. I know a few people that play on Starforge though (I think I mentioned them before as they stream on Twitch)

  2. […] my previous update? Well, quite a lot, actually! In my earlier post, I mentioned working towards Legendary status in the game, which involves completing all eight class missions. It’s a pretty big deal to do this (in my […]
