Star Wars Is Poetry Book Review – Star Wars Made Easy by Christian Blauvelt

How are you all, Star Wars friends? Good, I hope! So as some of you will already know, I am trying to up my game in the reading department. One of my goals this year is to finish at least five books. I know five doesn’t seem like much, but for me, someone who keeps starting and ending books halfway through, it’s a lot lol πŸ˜…πŸ˜‚

So this book is super easy to read. I’ve decided to start off slowly with basic books and then jump in later with more challenging Star Wars books. I am also avoiding fiction for now, mostly because I have attempted other fiction books in the last month and never made it halfway, and I’ve done that like four times😩 I just can’t find any of them interesting enough to keep me engaged. So reading easier books means I can work on my attention span while not having to grapple with anything uninteresting enough to lose concentration.

Star Wars Made Easy is definitely a beginner’s guide to Star Wars. So you know going into this book that there will probably be a lot of content you already know. Assuming, of course, you’ve been a fan as long as I have. But if you’re entirely new to a galaxy far, far away, then this book should absolutely be on your list of books to read.

The book is laid out to make every concept and piece of information enjoyable to take in. I think if you’re someone that doesn’t know anything at all about a topic, you’re not looking to get bogged down and overwhelmed. The author has taken a lot of time to create bite-sized information panels with just the right amount of facts and trivia. You can read at your own pace, and you never feel like you’ve got to rush through it.

Why read this book?

As mentioned above, if you’re a beginner, I can’t say enough about this book other than “you NEED to read it”. If you’re a seasoned veteran in the world of all things Star Wars, you might discover a few things within that you didn’t know. Overall though, it’s called a beginner’s book for a reason.

The language is simple and straightforward. Which I really liked. The images and information panels were set up well within the book. I particularly enjoyed the “at a glance” pages because they focus on essential facts and events. This is stuff you need or should know if you want to understand the ins and outs of Star Wars.

Also, it’s important to note that this book was released in 2017. This means that anything occurring after that date in a galaxy far, far away will not be covered. So that’s the final film in the Skywalker Saga and Book of Boba Fett and other shows that were released at a later date.

Would you recommend this book?

I would totally recommend this book to both children and any adults wanting to learn about the basics of Star Wars. I award this book FOUR lightsabers out of FIVE. If you’re looking to read something that isn’t too heavy and won’t overwhelm you, you should check out this book.

Thanks for reading my review! Feel free to make recommendations, I am always open to themπŸ™‚β˜ΊοΈ
