SWCU – Obi-Wan Kenobi Series Gets Release Date for Disney+!

HELLO, my lovely Star Wars friends! I hope your week is going well! If it’s not, it’s bound to very soon ☺️😊

Disney has just announced the release date for the highly anticipated Obi-Wan Kenobi series via multiple media outlets. Disney Plus will be featuring the show, which will be released on May 25th this year! The fandom rumour-mill had the Kenobi show slated for a possible May 4th release. Everyone knows what May 4th is, so it makes sense that Star Wars day would be the day. But alas, no! We get to wait another three weeks for the Obi-Wan Kenobi Series premiere.

Most of the primary cast members have already been confirmed. Hayden Christensen will be reprising his role of Darth Vader made famous in George Lucas’ prequel trilogy film, Revenge of the Sith.

We’ve been waiting a while now for the Kenobi show since it was officially revealed. Apparently, Ewan McGregor has known for years that the series was planned to be made! Imagine hiding something for that long!

Now go forth, my fellow Star Wars friends and share this with anyone you know that loves Star Wars!

And while you’re there, why not consider following me on Twitter, Instagram and right here, on WordPress.

Thanks for your support!

  1. Er, isn’t May 25th a Star Wars Day too? We have May the Fourth because it sounds like “May the Force….” but May 25th is the anniversary of the film’s theatrical release in the USA.

  2. Hi again, May the 4th is Star Wars day as adopted by the fans – May 25th is the anniversary of the American theatre release of Star Wars Ep 4 in 1977. The 25th is kinda like SW’s birthday like the UK Queen who has two birthdays!

      1. And I have another “interesting” coincidence you may not be aware of. In The Rise of Skywalker when Rey and company are on Pasaana Threepio is recounting the history and information about the Aki-Aki celebration saying “Every 42 years this celebration takes place….” Well, TRoS released in 2019 and Star Wars debuted in 1977….do the maths and 2019-1977 equals 42 years!

      2. That’s cool although I am sure there is a large part of the fandom that doesn’t acknowledge The Rise of Skywalker even exists lol or the sequels for that matter 😛
