SWCU – The Book of Boba Fett S01 Episodes 3 – 4 Reviewed

🛑‼️THIS REVIEW IS NOT SPOILER-FREE. PLEASE DO NOT READ IF YOU HAVE NOT SEEN THIS🛑‼️

I just watched episode four, so this will be a combination review of episodes three and four.

EPISODE THREE

Let’s start with episode three! It was not the best episode because it was slower than the others, but it was also really emotional. Our man Boba has really changed since his bounty hunter days. I am guessing the time he spent in the Sarlacc pit really affected him because he has definitely gone a little soft. I am not saying this is a bad thing – on the contrary! Boba Fett (at least in this iteration) is a much more well-rounded person than he ever was in the OT. It’s almost like seeing a different person because they (the writers) gave him feelings.

The fandom seems to be really split on these new developments in Boba Fett’s personality. Some fans are happy about it because it shows a different side to Boba. And some are hating on these changes (visit the “Saltier Than Crait” subreddit, and you’ll see what I mean).

I’m all for it because I like to see characters fleshed out and connecting with their inner selves. I don’t expect Boba to start running around the dunes of Tatooine shouting to the sky like a crazy man or anything. But I think this whole change in his character caught me (and a lot of other fans) off guard a bit. And I think I like that. It shows the writers are willing to take any character to new heights (or lows, depending on your point of view). Plus, it gives Temuera Morrison room to grow into the character on a whole new level.

I still don’t know how I feel about the “Bubblegum gang”, otherwise known as the speeder gang that Boba hired. I don’t think they’re all that bad, but they’re definitely not my cuppa tea in a story like this. That said, though, who’s to say where this story will go? We’re all along for the ride, are we not?

And finally, DANNY F’N TREJO??!!! His cameo really helped dial the notch up in the action department, mainly when he delivered Boba a new Rancor for his palace – I mean, DUDES, it’s a bloody Rancor!! That’s a big deal, man, and I mean HUGE (considering Luke Skywalker killed the last one and all that). It’s pulling on the nostalgia quite a fair bit, but again, I like that.

EPISODE FOUR

And that brings us to episode four which was a lot more action-packed than the previous two, in my opinion. We get to see more flashbacks of Boba’s past, including how he picked up Fennec Shand. I enjoyed that segment because I like to fill in the gaps in stories. And Boba has some huge holes to fill in.

We just know that we’re heading into Mando territory now. SO EXCITING!! I mean, Boba Fett is making it pretty obvious that is where he’s headed next. And we already know that Din Djarin and Boba meet up, so it’s inevitable. But I am not gonna lie; I am super excited for the end of this season. Why? Because Ming Na Wen said that after the finale we will “see the book of boba fett in a whole new light”. So now that is all I want, NEED to see lol 😂

ALSO, CRAZZZZYY seeing Boba get his ship back, I mean, wow! That was super exciting to see. I was kinda hoping they’d show us how he got his ride back, and they did, so I am pleased about this episode. And I cannot wait for the rest! All of you nay-sayers BE GONE lol (jokes everyone has their own opinion, the more, the merrier!)

Thanks for reading, friends – let me know what you thought of the last two episodes so we can chat all about it. As usual, I will be hanging out in the comments, so hit me up!

THE KNIGHTS OF REN ***POSSIBLE SPOILER TRAILER LEAK*** – STAR WARS CINEMATIC UNIVERSE

🛑‼️POSSIBLE SPOILERS / POSSIBLE STAR WARS LEAK READ AT YOUR OWN RISK🛑‼️

HOLY GEEZ, this star wars leak/spoiler is HUGE! This is primarily huge because NOBODY, and I do mean none of the sources that usually report this stuff even knew about it! One of the subreddits I frequent posted about a couple of days ago, but it got buried under everything else, so I didn’t see it until this morning.

THERE is supposedly a trailer that features the Knights of Ren. Here’s the trailer (bear in mind it might get taken offline, especially if it’s legit), so watch this right now; otherwise, you might miss out!

My understanding of The Knights of Ren is that they started with a dark side user named “Ren”. This came from the comics, so none of this was known before the comics first revealed the character. By the looks of this character in the teaser/trailer, that isn’t him. Ren looks nothing like that in the comics. When I say “looks nothing like him”, you can easily see what you want to see in this hazy image. The lighting is so bad that you can’t make out any specifics (probably on purpose).

Here’s the comic version of Ren. Assuming that is who the person in this clip is, it could be someone else entirely! Or the voiceover could be Ren speaking and this dude in the clip is a random Knight of Ren we don’t yet know.

Disney has not announced this project. Which explains why nobody knew about it. If you use Reddit, check out the Star Wars leaks subreddit. They don’t even have this listed there as a possible project in development by Disney. So that tells me that someone kept this very quiet until now, OR it’s fan-made, and a hoax, and almost the entire Star Wars fandom fell for it 🤣

It wouldn’t be the first time a “legit” source got it wrong. I remember many supposed “leaks” that were merely fans getting excited over nothing at all and everyone else joining in.

This is what being part of a fandom is all about! I dunno who or what this particular trailer is, nor do I know anything else, so I am in the same boat right now!

My opinion on the clip – it looks pretty legit to me. Also, Sony is really good at shutting down leaks. But Disney doesn’t seem to be as ruthless as that. Even if this was a leak, there’s still a good chance Disney is allowing the leak on purpose to gather momentum from the fandom. We know that Solo: A Star Wars Story flopped. And there have always been opinions within the fandom that Disney releases too many things too soon and saturates the market. Maybe this came from inside Disney/Lucasfilm for a reason.

Also, I did a quick check on the music in the clip, too – it was unrecognised by Shazam. But again, that doesn’t mean anything, it could be some random audio file from YouTube as there are thousands – all free.

So much to think about, and it’s SO EXCITING! What do you think, Star Wars friends? Let me know in the comments as I am dying to chat away about this 😁😆

SWTOR B400 Cybernetic Armour Set: Bronze Armour Set of the Week

Welcome back, SWTOR friends! I’ve decided to revisit these armour posts again because they were enjoyable to do! So back in 2018 (a long time, I know, lol), I regularly posted about armour in SWTOR. It was dear to my heart, and I continue to trade in armour to this day. In fact, next to weapons, armour is one of the most traded commodities in SWTOR.

Which kinda makes sense when you think about it. Most games have their own unique way of selling and trading different commodities. And I’ve played a lot of games in my time (particularly during my MMO phase), so I have oodles of experience trading in different games. The thing is, it’s almost the same in every game – weapons, armour and dyes are the three things that I’ve seen work well in nearly every game I’ve played.

If you can start early enough and get hold of all the rare stuff that will either be phased out later on or are just difficult items to obtain, you can make a lot of cash, credits, platinum, whatever your game uses. That said, I really didn’t start off early, I mean, I started playing the game at launch, but I never did the trading thing straightaway like I have in other games. I’m not sure why it took me a little longer to get on the trading bandwagon, but I eventually did, and here we are!

Now I consider trading in SWTOR the thing I know how to do the best, and I like to blog about it here. So I used to post weekly about different armour I had purchased or focused posts on different armour sets from each tier. I started with Bronze so I’ll keep working on Bronze for now. I’ve made a secondary inventory list of all the armour sets that I have in the game and I’ll be working my way slowly through each list. This week’s set is:

B400 CYBERNETIC ARMOUR SET

This set is part of a group of cybernetic armour sets. Afaik you can only obtain this armour set from the Cartel Market. This means other players might have it to trade on the GTN. You cannot get this set from quests or any other mission in the game – that is the only problem with Cartel Market sets. You can also randomly obtain this set if you buy Cartel Market packs from the GTN or from the Cartel Market.

I’ve never really liked this series of cybernetic armour. They always looked kinda disjointed to me like pieces didn’t fit with the rest of the set. I’m not sure why I think that, but that’s how it feels when I look at it. I’ve never worn it and I probably never will. But there are players who love these sets so each to their own I guess 👍

The one cool thing about them is that each set is different. And the pieces that join to your limbs look pretty realistic (if cybernetics were an actual thing).

Aesthetics: 5/10

Symmetry: 7/10

Colour: 8/10

Overall: 6/10

Next week I might cover off the latest set on the Cartel Market and rate that one each week as well. I am just deciding as it depends on how much time I get each week but we’ll see.

Let me know if you’ve been playing SWTOR lately or what you think of this armour set or any armour set!

As always stay safe out there, keep on keeping on and I’ll catch you in my next post!

SWTOR Update – State of the Game Jan 13 2022

I have been feeling super-inspired so far this year on the writing front of things. I think Tina’s enthusiasm to blog more has rubbed off on me, so I’m going to ride this wave while it lasts lol 😂🙂I dunno about everyone else, but my blog goes through ups and downs all year long. What happens is that I go through phases of extreme creativity, and then I feel totally unmotivated a week later. There is no point in me making promises to blog daily because I tried that, and it was the fastest way to burn out! I blogged almost every day in 2020, and I don’t think it made much of a change to my viewership or to my traffic.

But one thing I did really want to blog about is how I’ve actually started playing SWTOR again! I’m back on track to finish getting “Legendary” status in the game. So for anyone that doesn’t know, I play SWTOR regularly and have been off and on since it launched. I was one of the first people to subscribe and play the game wayyyy back when it launched in 2011. It recently had its 10th anniversary! So during my holiday period last year, I decided to do more than just trade all day and started playing my Jedi Knight Loungecat.

LOUNGECAT JEDI KNIGHT

The game has changed a lot since I last played it. And there is another huge change coming in the new patch 7.0, which will be released in February of this year. I have started reading up again on gearing for my characters because since I have billions of credits to spend, I might as well start putting them to good use. I intend to upgrade the armour on all the characters I want to play. To gain legendary status in the game, you have to complete all eight character class stories. I am currently on five with three more to go (Jedi Knight, Republic Trooper and Smuggler). I am feeling excited about this game again while I wait for the launch of Elden Ring and (obviously a long way off) the KoTOR remake, and finally, Star Wars Eclipse.

It seems I will be swamped playing video games for the foreseeable future😂and I am pretty happy about that.

So I am hoping to continue making general posts about the game for anyone interested. And I’ll be returning to blogging about the Cartel Market, Trading and Armor, which I did a while back. I am looking forward to doing these things this year! It will give me a reason to keep blogging regularly 😂🙂

Thanks for reading; keep safe, and I’ll catch you in the next post!

SWCU – The Book of Boba Fett S01 Ep02 Review

🛑‼️THIS REVIEW IS NOT SPOILER-FREE. PLEASE DO NOT READ IF YOU HAVE NOT SEEN THIS🛑‼️

CHAPTER 2 has arrived, and what an episode it was! After seeing the first episode last week, I had mixed feelings, which you can check out here. This week though, I am now siding with the fans who are incredibly excited to see what is revealed with the rest of this season.

The most enjoyable part of this episode is the amount of detail they wrote into Boba’s backstory – all of the scenes with the Tuskan Raiders were AMAZING!!! I never thought I’d enjoy seeing what Boba was up to after he crawled out of the Sarlacc pit. But I can’t wait to see the rest of his character development – it’s pretty exciting stuff!

Also, Jabba the Hutt’s cousins – there’s two of them now, lol (as if one wasn’t enough!) AND that WOOKIE Bounty Hunter – he goes by the name of Black Krrsantan 👇

The entire reveal about Boba’s connection to the Tuskan Raiders is so well-done and detailed! It was a real surprise to see the story go in this direction for Boba. It is very different from what I expected to see in his show – so far, it hasn’t been action-heavy, and we don’t see him collecting bounties either.

I loved how the Tuskan Raiders are so tribal and work on a hierarchal leadership system, which surprised a lot of people who didn’t know anything about the Tuskan Raiders. They are fascinating people, and the original trilogy did not do them justice! They are just as complicated and diverse as any other race portrayed in the Star Wars universe.

When Boba is given his robes in honour of his connection and deeds. I think that is a crucial moment in his story. I could feel the weight of the scene hours after I had watched it. Very moving and just awesome. So I am totally amped for the next one! What did you think, or what are your thoughts on the last episode? Check me out in the comments as always, my friends!
