Star Wars Cinematic Universe – Obi-Wan Kenobi CONCEPT ART Possible SPOILER!

Hello, all my lovely readers! Today, we have something special to discuss: a second lot of possible spoilery concept art content regarding the new Obi-Wan Kenobi series. If you wish to remain completely spoiler-free, please STOP READING! Thank you 🙌🙏

POSSIBLE SPOILERS AHEAD

So we can only assume that the staff at Discussing Film have seen the concept art in question or have some sort of press release article sent from Disney expanding upon the concept art somehow. I just did a quick google search to see if there were any other references to the Obi-Wan Kenobi show concept art but so far, no hits. That doesn’t mean the concept art isn’t out there – it just means it’s embargoed until further notice by Disney. I mean, let’s face it, the Obi-Wan Kenobi show will be one of the biggest shows Disney will ever release. They will make it as BIG and as loud and as PR-centric as they can for maximum effect.

Let’s talk about the two points made in that tweet – the first is Hayden Christensen as Darth Vader approaching a trio of younglings in the Jedi Temple. This has been debated online already, as you can imagine, with fans saying they think it could be Vader recruiting (not killing) for Sith Inquisitors. Why would they bother revisiting a scene that was already covered in Revenge of the Sith? Well, they wouldn’t. That would be totally redundant unless they show a different angle of Anakin when he was killing the younglings.

The second point relating to the concept art is Vader seated on a throne as he communicates with a hologram. I find this one really interesting because it’s new, we’ve never seen this happen before. And it begs the question, which throne is Vader sitting on and who is in the hologram? What do you think, dear readers? Could it be a throne Vader had built in his castle on Mustafar? That seems most likely. And the person in the hologram could be anyone, so that’s really open for debate.

What do you think of these possible spoilers? Let me know in the comments what you think, and we can chat about it 😁

Star Wars Cinematic Universe – Obi-Wan Kenobi Show LEAKED Darth Vader Concept Art [POSSIBLE SPOILERS]

Happy weekend (for anyone in the Southern Hemisphere, that is!) or Happy Friday if you’re not! So obviously, if you are staying SPOILER FREE for the upcoming OBI-WAN KENOBI TV SHOW on Disney Plus – DON’T READ ANY OF THIS as it could possibly contain spoiler information about the show.

POSSIBLE SPOILER IMAGES AHEAD

If you’re up to date on all things Star Wars, you might have already seen these concept art images reportedly leaked from the set of Obi-Wan Kenobi. As with all things that come with a “leaked” tag, take it as you will (a pinch of salt helps lol) 😅😂

VIA SWNN

The images are self-explanatory as I’d guess most star wars fans would know that Hayden Christensen, AKA Darth Vader/Anakin Skywalker, would have ended up in a Bacta tank after the injuries he sustained during his lightsaber duel with Obi-Wan on Mustafar. So to see him in this way isn’t all that surprising to me. However, it does show an image of a mask nobody has seen before, which looks a lot different to the ones I’ve seen in artist renditions:

There is huge speculation now that Hayden Christensen could be seen a lot more with his armour off than anticipated early on when the news broke of Hayden reprising his role. But after seeing these images, I’m pretty sure that Disney wants to tell the best version of Vader’s story in the Obi-Wan show that they can. And to do that would definitely mean showing Vader out of the bacta tank and without his protective armour.

Whatever you believe, IT’S HAPPENING IT’S REALLY HAPPENING, and I am jumping for joy inside right now lol 😁 Join me in talking about the upcoming show in the comments as always! Let me know your thoughts and what you think of the images!

Star Wars is Poetry – QoTD Obi-Wan Kenobi

This has long been one of my favourite quotes from Star Wars because it is so many things and so much more than just a line from the movie:

“If you strike me down, I shall become more powerful than you can possibly imagine.”

Obi-Wan Kenobi to Darth Vader – Star Wars Episode IV A New Hope

When Obi-Wan Kenobi says this to Anakin (who has now become Sith lord Darth Vader), he is not antagonising Vader, far from it. He is reaching out to Anakin in this quote because he knows that he is choosing to leave the physical world. He is telling Anakin that he doesn’t have to carry the guilt of killing him. He is leaving this world because he knows what will come. He knows that when he becomes one with the force, he can be so much more to Luke as a mentor and beyond. And he knows that when he reunites with Yoda and his master, Qui-Gon Jinn, they will be unstoppable as a force for good, guiding force users like Luke and Leia and being there when they are needed the most.

I edited the original scene to emphasize how Obi-Wan was happy that he had saved Luke from Vader (if Luke had faced Vader he probably would have killed Luke and the others and that just wouldn’t make a good movie). And if you look carefully, you can see that he has already disappeared just before Vader can even hit him with his lightsaber:

I suppose to some it might sound like Obi-wan is taunting Darth Vader. But I doubt Obi-wan would ever do something so petty. The way I interpret this quote is that he knows becoming one with the force will make him more powerful than Darth Vader because Vader is still connected to the physical world and all its limitations. When you become one with the force, you are essentially part of the very fabric that holds the universe together. If that isn’t powerful, I don’t know what is.

Here is another piece of art I found which I uploaded to Instagram showing the exact moment when Obi-Wan Kenobi leaves the physical world to become one with the Force. And Qui-Gon Jinn is right there with him! It’s so beautiful:

So what do you think about this scene when Obi-Wan utters the now famous words to Darth Vader? Do you think he is purposefully taunting him? Let me know in the comments, dear friends!

My Star Wars Gifs and Edits Star Wars Star Wars Art

Darth Vader Edit / Motion Art

I am going to try and be a lot more diligent with my edits now because looking at what I’ve uploaded to Pinterest, it seems I’ve uploaded some things here and some things there over the last few years. It doesn’t seem to be a uniform thing and is quite sad on my part 🤣 I guess I wasn’t really thinking about SEO and stats all that much but I’ve since realised that you really need to if you want your blog to show up in search engines. I think everyone does to some extent unless of course you’re blogging purely for yourself and you don’t care about gathering a larger audience (which is perfectly fine as well). Your blog can be whatever you want it to be!

I saw these images on Instagram and wondered what some of them would look like animated so I did one because I am on my lunch break and a little lazy 🤣

And I thought I would resurrect an old favourite of mine that got a lot of interest on Pinterest many moons ago 😁

WANT AN ANIMATION DONE? You’ve come to the right place 😀

Happy to do animation for any of my readers (assuming I’m not bogged down with writing or other website stuff). So if you have an image that you want to see animated, message me in the comments and I’ll see what I can do. Please note that not all images look good with animation so I do reserve the right to say “nope” if I feel it’d be too time consuming. The best types of images to animate include any image with something that benefits from having motion added to it. As an example above, the light from the lightsaber looks great animated, the rain looks almost real and Vader’s cloak flows nicely with animation.

Hit me up people, tell me how you’re doing!

If Darth Vader Had Lived in RoTJ and Joined Luke

Not sure if all of my readers have seen this yet but it’s pretty amazing. Artist Andrew Morgan posted this on his ArtStation account and it quickly spread to Reddit and everywhere else. The artist created two images of what Anakin would look like if he had lived and turned his back on the dark side:

And the second image complete with information about how his new look and suit would function:

I particularly love this bit:

Rebuilt Lightsaber

In returning to the light, Vader found it necessary to construct a new lightsaber that would both signify his new place among the Jedi, while also acknowledging his dark past. He now wields the purple saber as a reminder of his betrayal of Mace Windu and to never forget the moment that first signified his fall from the light.

I love the brown Jedi robes intertwined with the Vader suit – he is the perfect symbiosis of Vader and Anakin Skywalker.

Let me know what you think of these images in the comments friends. Stay safe out there and I’ll catch you tomorrow!
