Pick Me Up Friday’s ☺️😊

Hello, my dear readers! It is another Friday here in Aotearoa, and today’s post is something sorely needed here as our capital city, Wellington, experienced an earthquake measuring 7.4 on the Richter scale. As far as I am aware, nobody was hurt, so I would like to put some good karma into the world for that little blessing.

I’ve spent about 30 minutes looking through different affirmations and quotes for positivity and happiness, and here are two I picked out for today. I hope they help you somehow, as they have perked me up today, so I wanted to share.

I’m starting to look at affirmations in a more serious light than I did. I know that some of my readers use them, but I am more interested in the science behind them. I am not sure if affirmations work as I have never used them, really. But I am going to do this as a nice little side-project into wellness, happiness and self-care. I might post my findings weekly along with this post.

Have a smashing day, my friends 😊☺️

Stay safe out there, friends, wear your masks, look after yourself, and I’ll catch you in the comments or in tomorrow’s post!

Pick Me Up Friday’s

Good Morning, Good Afternoon, Good Evening to my lovely readers 🙂 It is a Friday once again in Aotearoa (New Zealand), and that means another happiness post from yours truly 😄

I hope all my readers are safe, feeling ready for the weekend and looking forward to doing whatever you want away from work. I have had a rather difficult week in terms of migraines and I have had to fight off the same migraine attack all week long 🙁 Not to mention that three people called in sick today leaving only a handful of us to do the work for the day. That only added to my stress levels.

It is almost the end of my day and I am counting down the minutes 😅 but to cheer myself up and anyone else needing some cheering up, and I came across this which instantly made me smile:

Are you calm in your heart? Let me know your best methods for feeling calm and less stressed in the comments!

Stay safe out there friends, wear your masks, look after yourself and I’ll catch you in the comments or in tomorrow’s post!

How is 2021 Going So Far?

Hello everyone. I thought I’d do a “catch-up” post which isn’t about anything other than the community – which is you, dear reader. It is always so easy to get caught up in a blog post and the next thing you know you’re off on a tangent nobody can keep up with!

So I am going to try and dedicate some of my blogging time to these types of posts where I invite my readers to talk about their troubles or triumphs, woes or concerns (if you want, totally up to you) and everything else in-between.

One thing I learned last year was that reaching out was merely a blog post away. That’s it. So if you feel the need to vent, cry, shout, scream or do whatever you need to do, my blog comments section WILL always be open – always. My blog may not be large but the number is unimportant. I would rather have five bloggers who genuinely care than a blog of five million who don’t.

And that’s it so if you feel like you need to talk about something and you’re okay with that happening in a blog post comment, fire away!

I also wanted to say that I am extremely proud of this blog and its readers. My blog has come a long way since I first started it and it would be nothing without the lovely people that read it and comment.

It’s early days as far as 2021 goes but if you need I am only a blog comment away 😁

Catch you in tomorrow’s post or in the comments – stay safe and I’ll talk to you soon!

If you like my posts, you can check out more of them right here.

Sad Passing of Star Wars Legend Jeremy Bulloch AKA the Original “Boba Fett”

Today I felt it was important to recognise the passing of a Star Wars legend who died today. His name was Jeremy Bulloch and he was the original actor that played Boba Fett in the original Star Wars trilogy:

I decided to quote Mark Hamill from Instagram because I liked what he said about him:

Via Mark Hamill’s Instragram

I send my condolences to his family and friends on this sad day in the Star Wars fandom.

May he Rest In Peace. This is the Way.

Stay safe my readers, wear your masks, look after each other and I’ll catch you in tomorrow’s post.

Pick Me Up Friday’s

Good Morning, Good Afternoon, Good Evening to my lovely readers 🙂 It is a Friday once again in Aotearoa (New Zealand) and that means another happiness post from yours truly 😄

I think I will integrate wellness and positivity into my Friday posts because they are all kind of interconnected and relatable to everyone. And I think it’s important to stop and think about the person you are and the person you want to be every now and then. Things move way too fast in this world and it can get hectic and stressful and taking a step back just to breathe (in my humble opinion), is just as important as being kind, thoughtful and considerate towards others.

And I like the way this quote seems applicable and realistic:

Let me know what you think of this quote? I think it’s quite on the money myself because I think we do spend more time worrying about things that don’t go our way instead of thinking of all the things that could 😁

Stay safe my readers, wear your masks, look after each other and I’ll catch you in tomorrow’s post but hopefully, in the comments!
