SWTOR Nar Shadaa Nightlife Event July 2020

This is the first time I’ve ever done the Nightlife Event since its inception, and I am so glad I waited to do it. So there are two ways you can go about getting all of the coveted rare items from this event. The first is to slog it out doing repeatable quests and endless hours collecting enough chips to play the machines and win. I don’t recommend this although unless you’re a character with an infinite supply of credits, you’re going to be forced to do this. The second is my preferred method which is just throw as much money at the slot machines until you get what you want.

Since I have acquired a somewhat decent amount of credits over the years of playing this game, I had no issues throwing credits at the machines. It took me a few hours to win all the items I wanted bar one which I can’t currently get until the patch because it’s bugged. But I managed to get one armour set that I liked, one weapon, and TWO rare companions which I was stoked about. One of them can be gained by playing on the King Pin Bounty Slot Machines:

Either way, you’re going to end up out of pocket if you want to acquire everything like I did. I spent more than 100 million today, but I got every item I wanted, all the mounts except one and I managed to score one of the rarest companions as a drop from the slot machines. It’s such a pity that you can’t trade the drops you get because I have a spare one of Phrojo and about three of the mounts as well which will now just collect dust in my cargo hold.

I have 11 special Emperor chips and, I am going to try my luck at getting the new mount once the update patches the game this Wednesday. So I guess it’s still a bit of “best of luck” since the item is random, but I have 11 chances to win it, so fingers crossed!

Star Wars Star Wars the Old Republic SWTOR

What’s Happening in Star Wars The Old Republic?

I’ve blogged about going back to SWTOR before and I’ve actually been playing regularly since then but mostly in the trading area. Since all my friends stopped playing, I am without a guild and spend my time trading on the GTN or slowly chipping away at my legendary player status.

I know there are some followers who liked my posts about SWTOR and I’ve been thinking about ways to ramp up my posts on Instagram and give it a much-needed boost. So I thought I might start posting about armour sets again because it’s really fun.

So this will hopefully be a regular thing and I’m keen to get the ball rolling so here are a few screen captures I took of my main trading character Catzlolz (yes, that really is her name!)

I am a very avid collector of armour sets in this game and I’ve started cataloguing all of the armour sets I have and selling the double-ups. My goal is to get as many of the sets as I can and then move onto either mounts or weapons (I haven’t decided yet).

I wanted to focus a little on what is currently selling in the Cartel Market and how it compares to prices on the GTN. I also really enjoy showing off otherwise overlooked armour sets that actually look pretty gorgeous. Just like this one I just bought for five million credits and it’s a silver set!

I would also like to do landscapes in SWTOR and maybe GIF some of them or turn some of the images into motion art and upload them here. I’ve always thought that one of the most beautiful aspects of this game is the amount of detail that has been created for the different planets and environments.

Anyway, stay safe and keep creating and I’ll catch you in the next post!

Do let me know if you’re still playing SWTOR or you’re interested in playing or ask me about anything you like! I’m keen to hear everyone’s stories.

Star Wars SWTOR Writing

My return to SWTOR and my new mantra

So part of this blog post is a big deal for me because I used to be an avid SWTOR (Star Wars the Old Republic) gamer having played the game on and off for years. After all my friends left the game, I stayed on and became a trader with more than 5 billion credits in the bank. One part of SWTOR I loved next to trading was fashion. The clothing designed in SWTOR is actually pretty awesome (well, most of it) and I became somewhat fixated on the different armour sets released in the game. I started to become a collector and found that I had hundreds of armour sets stored away. So I tried to highlight some of these armour sets and talked about how they looked and even rated them.

Two SWTOR Milestones this week!

Just a quick post about two milestones I reached this week. The first is I managed to make my third billionaire character yesterday. When you take into account I trade with 12 different toons on this server and my credits are spread across all 12 of these characters, it’s nice to know that the time I put in is paying off somehow, even if it’s not real money!

Bronze Armour Set of the Week – The Noble Attendant vs Ugliest Set of the Week – Proficient Hitman

This week we’re looking at the Noble Attendant Armour Set which you can pick up for around 300k credits which is very cheap for a set that looks as nice as this. To give you an indication of how nice this set is, it’s almost identical to The Last Handmaiden set which I remember used to sell for millions (now you could probably pick it up for around 1.5 million credits).
