Lucasfilm Games – Darth Revan Returns in the KOTOR Remake!

Hello my friends and Happy Friday (for anyone in the Southern hemisphere!) I woke up to some AMAZING trailer releases today, including the first trailer for The Matrix Resurrections (only my favourite movie of all time!), a new Dexter New Blood trailer AND the new LUCASFILM Games teaser for their new KOTOR REMAKE!!!

If you haven’t seen it, here it is in all its beautiful dark side glory, lol 😅

Peace is a lie!

I have not played the original KOTOR game, but everyone that has played it says it’s one of the best Star Wars games ever made! This trailer is for the remake that Lucasfilm Games are undertaking. And, of course, the huge reveal that Darth Revan is obviously the main antagonist in the game. If you know anything about the Old Republic, you’ll know why so many fans are excited about this. Revan’s story is amazing and full of many ups and downs, going from light to dark to light again. It’s an incredible story. I highly recommend you look into it if you can!

I am still playing SWTOR (Star Wars The Old Republic), but there is no way I am not playing this, And seeing the Lucasfilm logo on the game makes this so worth it! I am so happy to see them branching out into the gaming market. People know exactly what they’ll get – the best possible quality content at the highest standard because that’s what George Lucas always delivered. Hopefully, his legacy of working hard and producing the best work for the fans will carry on with Lucasfilm Games.

Yup, I am a George Lucas fangirl and proud of it, So join me in the comments friends, let me know what you think of the above trailer. Will you play the game?

Stay safe out there, everyone, and I’ll catch you in my next post!

Open-World Star Wars Game Coming From Lucasfilm Games and Ubisoft

This week was huge for gaming fans. Not only did Lucasfilm Games confirm their partnership with Bethesda (making an Indiana Jones game) but they will now be partnering with Ubisoft to make an untitled open-world game in the Star Wars universe. This is the first time since Lucasarts went into partnership with EA that a game has been developed outside of EA’s camp.

This will not spell the end of the partnership between EA and Lucasfilm Games, quite the contrary. They will remain in partnership with EA who currently develop their Battlefront and SWTOR games. It just means that Lucasfilm Games will branch out further into the Star Wars universe and beyond with other developers.

I personally welcome this. I will be so excited to see what they do with this new title they are developing – it’ll be years away, but if it’s anything like the abandoned 1313, it will be worth the wait. Fans are already starting to talk about the idea of this game being revisited by Lucasfilm Games, but that’s just rumour for now. Open-world means HUGE things for gamers like me, who just love open-world games. If it’s character-driven, even better.

The future seems very bright for Lucasfilm, and this fan is excited to see what they bring out to the multitude of gamers worldwide. Onward and upward, as they say!

Lucasfilm Games Announcement and a SWTOR Update

Today it was announced that Lucasfilm has now created their own gaming label called “Lucasfilm Games”. What this means for the future of many games connected to the Lucasfilm label is unsure, but an announcement on the Star Wars official website said this:

StarWars.com is thrilled to reveal that Lucasfilm Games is now the official identity for all gaming titles from Lucasfilm, a name that encompasses the company’s rich catalog of video games and its eye toward the future. To mark this new era, Lucasfilm Games has launched social channels on Twitter (@LucasfilmGames) and Facebook (@LucasfilmGames), which will deliver breaking news and more directly to fans. You can watch a special sizzle reel celebrating the history of games from Lucasfilm below; the Lucasfilm Games logo, featured above, will appear in all future Lucasfilm Games titles.

I am not sure if this means that Lucasfilm Games will be developing any of these titles going forward and that will be interesting indeed for companies like EA who create games and distribute them specifically for Lucasfilm.

I’ll be keeping a sharp eye out on this development as I am very much a Star Wars gaming enthusiast and this could impact the gaming community in a big way depending on what happens with any of the titles they own.

Here’s an official sizzle reel showing all the games currently active under the Lucasfilm label – most of them also linked to Electronic Arts (EA):

And a quick SWTOR gaming update from me – I will be bringing back some of the SWTOR gaming post series’ that I used to write way back. I think now would be a great time to continue writing and blogging about the game I have dedicated hundreds of hours to playing over the years.

If you’re a Star Wars gamer, this news could be right up your alley so stay tuned for more gaming updates from yours truly!
