Jedi Sentinel Motion Art – @ Tina!

I read Tina’s really interesting post on the different “btanches” of the Jedi particularly Guardians, Consulars and Sentinels and was inspired to make some motion art using one of the images she included in her post.

I don’t get a lot of time to make animations or motion art any more due to spending all my spare time writing (see my previous post) but I wanted to do this one because her post was so awesome!

Please check out her blog – she is an avid Star Wars fan and focuses on all different aspects of the fandom. We need our little WordPress following to grow so let’s all support each other and I am sure it will grow for all involved 🙂

That’s all for today folks – stay safe out there, please wear your masks and I’ll catch you in tomorrow’s post!

Fiery Grim Reaper Motion Art – Follow Up Post

So I decided to animate the image I finished yesterday because I thought it would like kinda cool with a little animation. I also edited the image and took out a few layers that I didn’t think suited the final image I was trying to achieve (different from the tutorial).

Edited Image:

And motion art which I had to resize to fit onto social media:

Let me know what you think about my art? Should I keep doing more of these more complex tutorials or stick to the beginner’s stuff? Let me know in the comments, your feedback is appreciated!

Darth Malgus Motion Art

While I have spent many years off and on playing SWTOR and reading star wars books, I never knew that Darth Malgus had a completely different name. It makes sense, however, as most Sith lords adopted different names when they became Sith.

It’s strange to imagine a Sith lord as a “normal” person. It’s also hard to imagine a Sith lord talking about the dark side of the force as something “holy”. But it’s fascinating when you look at the dark side from that perspective. Just like the Jedi had their rules and regulations and treated the code of the Jedi just like a religion, the Dark side practitioners and devotees did exactly the same.

If you want more Darth Malgus content, check out this post from yesterday.

Here’s the motion art I made last night, let me know what you think!

Until my next post, keep safe and keep creating!

Boba Fett’s Appearance in The Mandalorian Season 2

THE MANDALORIAN SEASON ONE SPOILERS AHEAD!

I thought it would be fun to create a motion art celebrating the news about Temuera Morrison and Boba Fett’s appearance in season two of The Mandalorian.

I can already imagine the possible storyline between these two characters; what is the possibility that Boba Fett could be hired to hunt down The Mandalorian to acquire The Child?

If you recall in the first season’s final episodes, The Mandalorian and The Child were very much still on the run. The Dark Saber was firmly in the hands of Moff Gideon, and he was not a happy chappy. So there’s a small chance that this could be how Boba Fett’s character is written into the new season.

Also, thinking beyond The Mandalorian, we know that Taika Waititi is set to direct an unknown Star Wars movie. I can only imagine how great it would be if both Temuera Morrison as Boba Fett was in Taika’s new movie!

Speculation is fun! Here’s an edit I did of a Boba Fett image taken from The Bounty Hunters #1 from Marvel Comics:

And the motion art I created:

I hope you enjoyed this blog post! Let me know what you think about my season two speculation about The Mandalorian and Boba Fett!

Happy Star Wars Day! New Motion Art – Darth Vader on Mustafar

To all my friends and Star Wars fans all over the world, I bid you a very Happy Star Wars Day! May the 4th will come sooner for me as I live in the future (New Zealand). And although we may not be able to celebrate outdoors, here’s a little something I did to honour the day with you all.

A quick post of new edits I’ve made. After writing about Darth Vader and his quest to find everlasting life as a Sith lord, I decided to animate this textless cover from one of the Darth Vader comics.

Here’s the original art work by Elia Bonetti and Giuseppe Camuncoli

And here is my motion art animated cover:

Happy Star Wars day however you choose to celebrate it and May the Force Be With You all 🙂
