Star Wars Edits – Kylo Ren Art by Unknown

I found this Kylo Ren art piece when I was trying to find images for Pinterest and I decided I liked it so much I would animate it. The style reminds me a lot of Venamis (Eli Hyder) on Instagram but it doesn’t look like it’s his so I have no idea who to credit this art to… I tried reverse images searches using several search engines and came up blank. I tried to make out the signature, it looks like NianTu but I didn’t want to credit incorrectly 🙁

Here’s the art in question:

And here is my animated edit which I saved from a different website before I had found the image above. Looks like someone cropped out the artist’s name 😡

Kylo Ren Wallpaper transformed into Motion Art

I found this awesome wallpaper of Kylo Ren while browsing the internet for Star Wars content and I just fell in love with it so I decided to animate it for my “Edit A Day” project. I actually really like how it came out, too.

What do you think?

Here’s the original high definition image:

Star Wars GIF – The Sith Code

I came across a really nice pic on Etsy that gave me the idea to animate this Sith Code image. The Sith Code in essence is much like the Jedi Code in structure (actually, it’s the opposite really). Darth Bane founded the Sith Code (if you’ve played SWTOR or you’ve read about the Old Republic, you’ll know who Darth Bane is):

One to embody power, the other to crave it.” The Rule of Two was the principle upon which the Order of the Sith Lords was founded. It was created by Darth Bane, a Dark Lord and member of the Brotherhood of Darkness.

Here is the image (which I have edited as the red colouring needed to be more prominent for the GIF to look good)

Inside Photoshop Part II – Merging two GIFs into one

Hello friends! So I’m almost at the end of my 10 day holiday from my day job, and I’ve spent quite a lot of this spare time reading and learning and even re-learning some techniques I had forgotten how to use or how to execute.

Learning, in general, can be a task for some but I’ve discovered what works for me and it may work for you, too. Perseverance is key to learning new things if you want to learn you have to keep hacking away at it until you eventually find yourself at the top of that mountain. I have this very stubborn streak that seems to kick in when I least expect. For instance, learning how to layer a GIF inside another GIF was something I learned years ago when I was using photoshop all the time, but it was a technique I had forgotten because I just never used it again.

I usually start with a quick google search online to see if there is anything relevant to what I want to learn. And then I keep searching until I get to the clip I want to watch or to the article I want to read (finding the right information again is a task in and of itself, and you just have to keep looking)

Once I have the information I can use I take that advice to my Photoshop task and try to apply it (well, it’s more like I hack away at it until I learn how to do it). This may seem like a very unruly way to go about it, but it works. Two days ago I didn’t know how to put a GIF inside a GIF, and the silliest thing is it’s so easy once you learn the technique (or re-learn in my case).

Star Wars GIFs – Help me, Obi-Wan Kenobi

Today I ended up with a migraine that took about half a day to subside but after it had gone, I felt a lot better and wanted to make something in Photoshop. I haven’t made a lot of GIFs lately, mostly because I’ve been learning new techniques and I haven’t been able to really apply them to something Star Wars related until today.

So I came up with this composite image once I had found the perfect Obi-Wan image to use for it. It went through several iterations before I was happy with it including a backdrop of Vader and Luke but I finally settled on Leia instead:

Star Wars Edits – KYLO REN FIRST ORDER PART 2 AND EPISODE IX OMG!!!

Okay, now that I’ve calmed down a little over the SWCC stuff I found about today (the leaked mural, the mural is finished, yet another Episode IX rumoured title etc), I am now sitting at my desk as jittery as a bug because OMGGGGGGGG in EIGHT and a half hours (ish) THE EPISODE IX PANEL WILL BE STARTING….

I guess I’m still not very calm and I only think it’s going to get worse as it gets closer to the time but what I said I would do earlier this morning I’ve done so here’s the updated edit and GIF without the yukky bit in the middle that you weren’t supposed to see 😂

Star Wars Edits – KYLO REN FIRST ORDER

I originally started making this edit as a static image but then I started to play around with the opacity and the blending and this GIF was born 🤣 As you can see, I am still working on making selections from static images and using bold background images to catch the eye.  I really like this image of Kylo Ren and I’ve used it multiple times in edits before this one.
