Kylo Ren and Reylo – Video Edits

I’ve been looking for more ways to create content for my blog and social media, and that has been taking up a lot of my spare time trying to find the right tool. I’m still using Photoshop for the majority of the edits I make, but there are other tools out there that work really well, particularly for video. And I haven’t really made a lot of video edits for Star Wars as yet. I had made video edits for other things such as when I had a huge fangirling phase over Cobra Kai 😂. People on Tumblr and IG seemed to like the video clips I made so I might go back to making them again except solely for Star Wars fans.

Here are a couple of things I have been playing around with lately, not sure if I’ll use them, but I am dumping there here to get feedback if anyone wants to provide some 🙂

And a little GIF I made using the Crello App:

And I animated this art by art_gem on DeviantArt (turn sound on)

I’ll be posting more content over the next few days so you can expect more of this stuff 🙂

Star Wars is Poetry – Quote of the Day

I wanted to make an edit from an image I saw on Pinterest and I came up with this and then started thinking about how much of an impact Carrie Fisher had on the Star Wars fandom. And I made this as a small tribute to her legacy on IG.

Carrie Fisher, the Princess of Alderaan, we miss you!

Kylo Ren Edits – The Rise of Skywalker

I’ve always really liked this close-up image of Adam Driver as Kylo Ren on Pasaana so I’ve used it in several edits but these are the latest ones I made on my phone:

I also didn’t realise until now that this is the actual quote from the film that Kylo Ren says to Rey which really surprised me. I didn’t realise that his words were “because I needed to see you”… (REYLO ALERT!)

And yes, I like my GIFS HUGE if anyone was wondering 😂😂

Feel free to share on social media if you like and spread the Darkside Creative love around for everyone!

Until the next post, stay safe out there and keep creating!

Star Wars is Poetry – Quote of the Day

I’ve started making these Star Wars quote GIFs, and I really enjoy creating them. And the Star Wars universe has so many great characters with meaningful and memorable quotes to choose from.

Today’s quote comes from Obi-Wan Kenobi, and while he also has many memorable quotes, this is the one I chose for today. The artwork for this GIF was created by Marco Checchetto, and the image is from Marvel comic Star Wars: Obi-Wan & Anakin #3

I also made some motion art because I liked the image so much:

Enjoy my friends!

Stay safe, keep creating and I’ll catch you in the next post

A life update, Darth Vader #1 Edit and Motion Art

I seem to be in a bit of a rut lately with certain things. I’m still recovering from the aftershock of The Rise of Skywalker as my anticipation for this film was a lot higher than I expected. I’ve also been thinking a lot about what I want to achieve this year and I’ve come up with a shortlist. These goals are not NY resolutions. They are goals I want to achieve for several years to come so they’re bigger than that. They are life goals. And I have given myself a time period of six months to get started on one of them and the other one I hope to work and improve on with time.

I’ve neglected some of the things I love to do for other things that I thought were more important but as it turns out, they’re not. So I’m pushing back a little so that I have more control over my time.

And finally, the edits. I saw this new Darth Vader cover on Tumblr and thought it would like nice with a little animation. The cover art is by artist InHyuk Lee
