Star Wars is Poetry – The Legacy of the Jedi

“Qui-Gon was not in touch with Count Dooku. He had not expected to be. Their relationship had not been based on friendship. It had been one of teacher and student. It was natural that they should not be in each other’s lives. It would be different with Obi-Wan, Qui-Gon thought. He saw ahead to the days when Obi-Wan would be a Jedi Knight, and he would like to be part of that

The Legacy of the Jedi, by Jude Watson

This reiterates the different type of relationships that Jedi are allowed to share openly as Master and Padawan. But in this situation, it is the fall of the Master, not the apprentice so quite a different dynamic as Jedi Dooku was the apprentice of Yoda and in turn, became a Jedi Master to Qui Gon Jinn. Star Wars – Rey of Jakku edit

It’s fitting that I should be uploading an edit I did of Rey for the Journey to The Rise of Skywalker book cover because I recently stumbled upon a movie leak I probably shouldn’t have read. The leak was about Rey but that’s all I will say and I’m calling it a leak because it has been confirmed on Reddit as a leak not a rumour.

I love this cover though and while it looks amazing as it is without any text, I wanted to see what it would look like with some text using a technique I learned over the weekend:

Thrawn and Anakin variant cover art

Where have you been all my life?? Apparently, I am very late to this party 😂 because this was released last year!

That said, does it look like it’s a little photoshopped to you or is that just me being overly critical?

Le Cote Obscur (The Dark Side) has arrived!

And it’s even better than I expected. I’m so excited to have this Star Wars book, even if I had to order it from France 😁

Star Wars is Poetry – Revenge of the Sith (2005)

Revenge of the Sith (2005) (Star Wars: Novelizations #3)

by Matthew Woodring Stover, George Lucas (Story & Screenplay)

Be prepared because my melancholia knows no bounds tonight. And what better way to share my feelings than with Star Wars? 🤗

“Anakin.” Obi-Wan’s voice had gone soft, and his hand was warm on Anakin’s arm. “There is no other Jedi I would rather have at my side right now. No other man.”

Anakin turned, and found within Obi-Wan’s eyes a depth of feeling he had only rarely glimpsed in all their years together, and the pure, uncomplicated love that rose up within him then felt like a promise from the Force itself.

“I… I wouldn’t have it any other way, Master.”

Can we talk about how beautiful this is please?

“Star Wars : Le Côté Obscur”

You may recall I blogged about a Star Wars book written by Tricia Barr that was obscure, not many people knew about it. The Dark Side – An Illustrated Story I managed to stumble on the book while looking through Reddit and the art displayed in this book really blew me away, I just had to find out how to get this book.

So I did more digging and discovered that the book is published for release on Amazon’s French website under the title Star Wars: Le côté obscur – Star Wars: The Dark Side. You can imagine how great this was for me, it meant that I could actually buy it – which is what I did, I ordered it today! And yes, I realise it’s in French and I do not speak French but that’s by and by, the art speaks volumes alone 🙂

Just look at these images – you’ll see what I mean about this art, it’s fantastic!
