I felt very much in the mood to animate something today and get my mind off other things. So here’s a lovely little animation I did and no idea who the artist is (I always try to find the artist with a google search but came up empty).

The artist is Ted Mininni 🙂

Enjoy 🙂

Fell in love with both of these images when I saw them, especially the piece by Helen Shin – it’s nothing short of amazing… it needed to be animated!

And two of my favourite characters in the Star Wars universe together! Darth Vader and grandson, heir apparent, all-round bad boy Kylo Ren

I had some fun creating this animated poster for Solo: A Star Wars Story but the resizing of the image is a mission because most websites have a limit (Pinterest’s, for example, is a measly 10 megs which is nothing if you’re creating plotagraph animations). My original document was around 122 megs! The above image is a drastically resized MP4. I prefer to use APNG files because they are a lot smaller in size (usually) than both GIF and MP4 but not many social media sites/apps support it which is a bummer.

And here’s the GIF file that I might upload to Pinterest if I can get the size down 🙂

I think I’m going through a very creative phase right now. I mean, I’ve always had the creative bug in some form or another. Being a writer, I guess for me anyway, there has always been a connection to art and the appreciation of art. Unfortunately for me, the straight up truth is I sucked quite badly at anything artistic at school and I’ve never had a single art lesson other than learning how to paint by numbers when I was about 4 and learning how to draw stick figures when I was about 14. So everything I do or create comes purely from a love of creating things and not from any true talent – not in the sense that I’d think of myself as an artist because I definitely don’t.
