The latest update on the Cartel Market has some interesting items for sale. The main one that caught my eye was the White colour crystals. I have quite a few of these stashed away so I’ll definitely be putting these up for sale soonish. Continue reading → Cartel Market Update 20/03/2018

So much Star Wars goodness!

Darksider Blog Banner

This week is shaping up to be a nice week for me, especially in the Star Wars arena. Firstly, my star wars work buddy and I ordered our copies of the Junior Novelisation of The Last Jedi and the expanded edition of The Last Jedi both of which should arrive in the next week or so. It’s way behind everyone else in the Northern hemisphere (almost always) but I am so excited to read them both. Secondly, I just pre-ordered the steel book version of The Last Jedi which is the first steel book Blu-Ray I’ve ever ordered. I am definitely coming late to the party but better late than never, right? And lastly, the SWTOR updates that are coming will be amazing and even though they’ve (EA/Bioware) pushed things back by a week for the update, I am definitely excited for what’s to come. SWTOR: Armour Comparison #02 Gav Daragon Armour Set

SWTOR Blog Banner

It’s SWTOR Armour Comparison time again where I take a random armour set from the game and compare it to examples taken from other star wars media such as comics, film, books etc. Did the SWTOR creators get it right or did they make a complete mess of an otherwise perfectly good set of armour? Let’s find out… Continue reading → SWTOR: Armour Comparison #02 Gav Daragon Armour Set

TOR Character of the Week and Star Wars Quotes

SWTOR Blog Banner

I like to create things. Or more to the point, I like to edit things and turn them into something else or try to enhance something. I would never consider myself an artist because I can’t draw or paint. I think I’m a person that “reinvents” things. But if I do create something I always try to give credit if I am using another person’s image or artwork.

A while ago I posted a SWTOR Character Sheet on Darth Malgus. I found this quite fun to do so I am trying to get into the habit of creating more of them for my blogs/Instagram/Pinterest etc. Here’s my second attempt using Carth Onasi’s profile as the character:

CARTHONASI

I liked this one. The artist is on DeviantArt and it was the perfect image for what I wanted to do. I saw some of these images on Tumblr the other day and decided I really liked them so I am adopting this style into my own creations.

I was playing around with Instagram trying to find different ways to introduce text into static images (because that can be fun to do) and discovered android app Phonto. This app allows you to add all sorts of text-based effects to your images. So I created this one yesterday on Instagram:

Obi Wan Quote 1

It’s quite amazing how an image can be completely transformed just by adding text. This image of Obi-Wan Kenobi is awesome enough without the text, but when you add text, it becomes something else again.

SWTOR Holofile – Armour update!

SWTOR Blog BannerHello Star Wars friends! I created a new banner for my SWTOR posts so I can separate them from my Darksider Blog posts which are mostly focused on writing and personal stuff. So here’s an update on what I’ve been doing the last couple of days. My armour collection is coming along nicely as I managed to locate and buy an armour set I didn’t have in my collection: Continue reading → SWTOR Holofile – Armour update!

My personality “type” is getting the better of me… halp!

Darksider Blog Banner

Sometimes I wish I wasn’t so “A typical”. The two personality groups (A and B) are based on a popular psychological theory that we as individuals are classified as one or the other. This, of course, fails completely when you have people who share attributes from both groups, but for the sake of this blog post, we’ll just agree that they exist for now.
