I discovered this by accident when putting together our movie podcast yesterday celebrating Halloween Horror movies which is here if you’d like to check it out.
And the answer is:

Hi there π Yeah, me too π So Ray Park who plays Darth Maul in the Star Wars universe is the person doing all of the action sequences as the headless horseman!

What!? That is madness. Would never have known. I remember an interview with Christopher Walken where he talked about his terror of horses and needing a double. I also remember the wonderful Christopher Lee’s brief appearance.

Yeah amazing right? When my partner told me about it he was like ” you can talk about that on one on your blog!” lol but it makes so much sense as that Hessian Assassin was amazing! Yes, Christopher Lee does make a brief appearance RIP

Hi Julie, no….I didn’t know about this one but I haven’t seen the movie. Ray Park has probably been in a lot of faceless (or headless) cameo appearances as he is also hired for his stuntwork. I do know Ray was also my favourite GI Joe, Snake Eyes in the movies – though who else could you really hire to spin a Katana sword round like he can? It made obvious sense.

He spins those hatchett’s the same way in Sleepy Hollow lol it’s his trademark and I dunno why I didn’t pick up on this sooner! I’ve seen Sleepy Hollow multiple times and never knew π

I did not know that. And I did see the movie…probably once back in 1999, so I don’t remember too much about it! Neat trivia, though.
