When Obi-Wan was on the death star, he couldn’t bring himself to use Darth Vader’s real name because he said it would undo him…

Just take that in for a moment. I don’t think we can truly appreciate how deep and strong the bond must be between a Jedi Master and their Padawan. Not only are they bonded through friendship and comradeship but they are also bonded through the force.

This is a concept that I feel is easily overlooked and clearly, Obi-Wan’s feelings for Anakin went a lot deeper than a teacher/student relationship. Which then brings into play the strict Jedi code regarding attachment. Surely this bond between Obi-Wan and Anakin was close to breaching that code?
